Poster # 2836 Association Between Workload and Errors in Clinical Radiation Oncology

Presenter: Lukasz Mazur, PhD

About the Presenter:
Lukasz Mazur received his undergraduate and graduate degrees including Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University. He is currently appointed as an Assistant Professor at Radiation Oncology Department in School of Medicine at University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. Lukasz’s research and practical work is focused on two areas: 1) applying and evaluating quality improvement and patient safety models in healthcare settings; and 2) applying and evaluating health care systems improvement education. He hopes that the outcomes from the research will supply the engineering management and medical education and professional communities with fundamental knowledge and skills needed for effective health care improvement.
